Amazon MGM Studios and Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment have announced physical disc releases for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Seasons 1 and 2. Good news for collectors and home video enthusiasts, and I always like to see physical copies for content instead of just digital leases from major services.  But… how many people are left who actually want to buy this show?

Standard 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD editions are scheduled to arrive on November 3, 2026. Following those, Amazon-exclusive 4K UHD Steelbook collector’s editions featuring custom artwork and collectible art cards will release on December 1, 2026. Both releases will include exclusive bonus features, behind-the-scenes documentaries, and audio commentaries

Visually, The Rings of Power certainly has some pretty impressive highlights, and I’m sure those will come through far better on a physical 4K rendition of the show rather than the compressed streaming services we’re all used to. Of course, this doesn’t change the actual content of the show, so we’re still left with a story that Tolkien never actually wrote and characters that have been completely changed. They’ll just look better than ever before!

We will bring you more details on bonus feature specifics and final cover art as they become available closer to the November release date.
