This tale is a part of the “Tale of Lathrawen, Lady of Rohan.” It is what happens to me during the course of the War of the Ring.
Legolas held me, his strong arms around my slender waist.
“Lathrawen is leaving for Gondor, do you not wish to say good bye to her?” I asked quietly.
“She will be alright.” He whispered and kissed me slowly.

I wandered around the halls of Edoras aimlessly, lost in my own thoughts. I knew that Lathrawen had been upset when she left; I knew she felt betrayed by her brother. He had taken more pleasure in being with me than in saying good bye to her, and this hurt her. Without even realizing, I had walked outside near the royal tombs. From where I stood I could see Theodred’s final resting place. I felt a strange sensation course through me, it was as though I could feel his presence and could see his thoughts of Lathrawen. Was his spirit worried for her as well? I heard a sound, too quiet for the ears of men, but not for my keen ears. I turned my head slowly to see a tall figure, shrouded in a dark, hooded cloak. I walked towards the person, softly so as not to disturb them. Their head turned and I looked upon a face of sorrow.
“Legolas?” I whispered
“Lomelindi, what are you doing here?”
“I was…I was just taking a walk.” I stuttered, the look on his face pained me. “Legolas, what is wrong?” I asked, taking his hand in mine. He did not answer.”Do you want me to go…?” The question lingered in the air
“No, please stay.” He said
“Legolas, please tell me what is troubling you.” I said softly.
“I don’t want to lay a burden on your mind; I know that you are already worried.” Legolas replied.
“But, I love you, how could anything you tell me be a burden?”
He brought my hand to his lips and kissed it. “I will be fine, my love, as long as your with me.”
I hugged him tightly
“I didn’t say goodbye to Lathrawen, and I am grieved with gilt.”
The wind blew around us and I heard a voice in the wind
I knew the voice; it was Theodred, Prince of Rohan.
“I think Lathrawen will be alright, she is being watched over.” I said with a smile.
