“I don’t feel right.” Erquellewen said, while she ate her apple. Her stomach was very happy that it could finally have food. It hadn’t had any for six hours straight.
“Well,” Lief said, “Lie down.” He was very concerned for the poor elf. He had never seen an elf in such bad shape. He never even knew that elves could feel terrible at all. But Erquellewen wouldn’t lie down. She knew that if she did, and they were attacked, she wouldn’t be able to get up fast enough to fight. Her head would be rolling across the ground before she could even get on her knees.
“No thanks Lief. I don’t think that would be such a good idea. But I’d acctually rather be dead right now.” The Amethyst started burning. “Uh-oh!” she thought. “Maybe the enemy is near. Or maybe someone is coming to help.”
Something started moving in the bushes. Erquellewen put her finger on her lips and motioned for her friends to follow. “Be careful!” she mouthed. Her companions nodded their heads carefully.
Something stuck out of the bushes. Erquellewen drew her sword and shouted, “CHARGE!” They jumped onto a tall figure. But some magical force pulled them off.
“Why do you do this to some old friends?” a voice asked.
“GANDALF!” the companions shouted in unison. But Gandalf hushed them.
“I think something was following us!” he said. Everyone looked at him with puzzled looks on their faces.
“Us?” Mithwethiel asked. “Where are the others? And who did you bring?”
Gandalf looked back. “Oh, they must still be searching for the creature that was following us.” He shrugged and turned back to the companions. “Elrond has sent me. He knew you needed help.”
“But how did he know?” Legolas asked.
“Don’t you know Legolas?” asked a voice from the bushes. “Elrond has the gift of foresight.” A dark figure stepped out of the bushes. The figure removed its hood. It was Aragorn. Four little hobbits followed after him, and so did Gimili. Gandalf, Aragorn, Frodo, Sam, Merry, Pippin, and Gimili had come to help their dear friends.
P.S.~ I’m sorry this chapter is so short, but I promise to make the next one MUCH more longer.
