Diana sat in her room, listening to the Lord of the Rings-The Fellowship of the Ring soundtrack. She picked up her copy of the Fellowship of the Ring, and opened it to The Council of Elrond. She was at the part where Elrond was saying ‘we cannot use the Ruling Ring.’
Diana settled on her bed. Elrond had just finished his speech about destroying the Ring.
Suddenly there was a flash, and when Diana opened her eyes, she saw, to her VERY great amazement, Dwarves. stunned, she looked down, and saw she was no longer wearing jeans and a T-shirt. Instead, she was clad in a Elvish robe. Looking over she saw Elves on either side of her. As she tried to connceal her surprise, she realized that she was, in fact, at the council of Elrond. As she got over the shock, she heard someone talking.
“But what would then happen, if the Ruling Ring were destroyed?” It was Gloin speaking.
“We know not, for certain,” replied Elrond. “Some hope that the three rings which Sauron never touched with then become free, and their rulers might heal the hurts of the world which he hath wrought. But maybe when the One has gone, the three will fail, and many fair things will be forgotten. That is my belief.”
Diana sat there, trying to understand how on earth this could have happened. When she tuned back into her surroundings, Elrond was saying, “The Company of the Ring shall be ten, and the Ten Walkers shall be set against the Nine Riders who are evil. With you and your faithful servant, Gandalf will go. For the rest, they will represent the free peoples of Middle-earth: Elves, Dwarves, and Men. Legolas and Glorfiniel for the Elves, Gimli for the Dwarves, Aragorn and Boromir for Men…”
It was a while before Diana realized that she was being stared at by everyone. While the Fellowship stood together, she was still in her seat.
“Come, Glorfiniel,” Elrond said, beckoning to her. Diana rose numbly and stood next to Boromir. She was now apparently an Elf named Glorfiniel…and she was going to go with the Company.
