Would You Had Done It Differently? – A poem about Feanor

by Jan 14, 2004Poetry

A/N:This is my first poem and any suggestions would be
appreciated. Thanks.

Spirit of Fire, Heart of Passion,
Maker of the Silmarilli,
Would you had done it differently
If you knew what would become?

If you knew your rash Oath
Would condemn your people to sorrow,
That you and your great jewels
Would become their most grievous woe,
Would you had let it be?
Had you known that your pride
Would lead to the slaying of Elves,
Instead would you had stayed?
Though at your death
You saw your people would not win
You bade your sons fight on,
And because of you,
Your friends and kin have died.
Would you had done it differently?
Alas, it is too late.

Spirit of Fire, Heart of Passion,
Maker of the Silmarilli,
Would you had done it differently
If you knew what would become?
