war – poetry – helm’s deep

by Mar 29, 2003Poetry

this world is ending,
must let it go,
rampaging memories, it seems
won’t let me though.
what will occur,
to destroy such beauty,
the ending of an age,
soon to be lost,
forgotten, along with all that is left of the world of
men.
dreams will go unoticed,
we let them rule alone.
we leave them alone,
we leave them to die alone.
a battlefield soakd with blood.
the ending of an age.
