To Fly Again

by Sep 7, 2004Poetry

It is no death I face when love has opened every door.
You gave your very all for me, and I can ask no more.
No bitter draught at parting sweet, though rain of tears will fall,
From ashes does my hope wing up to heed a distant call.
It soars, then sings, `we’ll meet again’ though I shall go before;
The life and loves I now lay down, I’ll find on silver shore.
