Through the Shadows

by Dec 10, 2003Poetry

Through fear and doubt I walk this road,
To what end, I do not know.
Through ash and flame and darkest nights,
Forward do I set my sights.

Through the death and poisonous rain
I try to find myself again.
Through the land that the mist covers;
Like a plague, my dread still hovers.

Through the fires of wrath and despair,
This burden will I forever bear.
Through the villainous shadows lie
My way to the sun, my view of the sky.
