These Cherished Memories of You
Our voices blending soon as one,
We sing the songs we’ve done before,
Of hobbit tales that still go on,
Of course more merry goes the song,
And when the song is done,
We merely laugh and sing some more.
The walks we took to ease our stress,
Were surely enjoyed by you and I.
We walked along the beaten path,
And of course we always laugh,
We did not need to guess,
That love was there that could not die.
These cherished memories of you,
Comfort me each passing day.
Remembering your shining eyes,
Your smile of such greater size,
Finding it so true,
That such love in you will stay.
