The Tide Rises, The Tide Falls

by Jul 6, 2004Poetry

The tide rises, the tide falls
As Kings set out from noble halls,
ANd steeds are brought from their stalls
Lonely widow and only son
Hear news of what the war has done,
The tide rises, the tide falls.

While Ranger King on faithful steed
Is fearful of what the future heeds
And lets love go for what love needs,
For the need is dire and his Kingdom calls,
And, on the dark shores, the tide rises, the tide falls

While Kings of old fight for their land
And total darkness is close at hand
While time is still for one last stand
That decides if darkness wins or falls
The tide rises, the tide falls

When everyone has left me here
And life of bliss turns life of fear
When I wish to have my loved ones near
And the blue, vast ocean calls
The tide rises, the tide falls
