The Sky

by Apr 7, 2005Poetry

Up there is the endless sea

Which its end you cannot see

And its ball of gold and pearl

Which warmth and light to us it hurls

But it suddenly disappears

And a new one now appears

But not bright and warm and nice

But one white and cold as ice

The shadow lies dark on the forests of the world

And whispers in the darkness of the wold

Now waves of foam fill the ocean wide

Waves of wind and waves of tide

And the water rises and comes back to Earth

Where it was awaken, where it was given birth

And now it is that cold draws near

The music of winds I can now hear

Stars, stars are falling from the sky

And white earth is drawing nigh

But after it blows and weeps

Now into the night it sleeps
