The Shire

by Feb 20, 2004Poetry

It is this very road which will lead me there;
The longest journey I am ever to travel
Is the journey which will lead me home.

Tress and valleys of green,
Grass covered hills, strawberries of red,
My eyes long to see the land of the halflings.

The Shire is the place which my soul desires,
And the path has been laid before my feet;
It is this very road which will lead me there.
