The Scream of Melkor – A Poem

The Scream of Melkor

A dam that breaks sends forth a muddied, spewing,
Churning, gushing torrent to fall over the rocks,
The water filling every crack and crevice.
And great floods washing the very stones
From their resting-place among the mountain passes:

So the scream of Melkor
Echoed through the land.
