the road goes on

by Oct 28, 2003Poetry

The road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began
Until it meets the other paths
And all togheter they are one.

You walk this road forever
Without knowing where you stop
For where you stop, you stop the last time
And where you stood, you will there lie

Where you lie now
You stood, brave and tall
In the times there were before
Where you stood, you will now lie

For now you will die.
