The Prize Wheel of Cheese – a goofy hobbit song

by Mar 7, 2006Poetry

one night as I was walkin,
well what do ya think i sees?
its old farmer O’Malley
and his prize wheel of cheese

and I said

“oh me, oh my, what can I do
to buy that wheel of cheese from you?”
and then to me he did reply
“I will not sell my cheese, goodbye!”

and then on to the town I went
down to the village Bree
for any village named after a cheese
is as fine as a town can be!

and on my way out of town
well who else should I meet
it’s farmer O’Malley,
and his wheel of cheese i greet,

saying,

“oh me, oh my, what can I do
to buy that wheel of cheese from you?”
and then to me he did reply
“I will not sell my cheese, goodbye!”

so behind him I did creep
and lept upon his back
and slammed him down onto the ground
and tied him in a gunny sack

and he cried,

“oh me, oh my, what will it take
to keep you from my bones to break?”
and then to him I did reply
“give me your cheese or you will die!”

and then to me he smartly says
“though this may mark the end of my days,”
and then to me he did reply
“I will not sell my cheese, goodbye!”
