The lull of the sea

by Mar 28, 2003Poetry

Prince, let no illusion spare thee,
Did she not beware thou of the sea?
And what thy noble heart that heard the cry of the gull,
That beauty welled up, desire is full.

Legolas Greenleaf, of the sea do beware,
For elven Prince, mighty and fair
Under the leaf of oaken bough
The sea hath deep stirred unrest in thou.

Elven Prince, I pity this place
Now the sea’s cry lulls thy race
Away to lands of old and new away
I bid thee farewell, upon the yonder way.
