The Last March Of The Ents

by Dec 8, 2005Poetry

An eternal life has been given to us
Now many are weary and tired
We have grown old, almost tree-like
But someone comes to set our emotions a-fire

The white wizard Saruman
How dare you betray our kind
What drives you too this madness
What is it that you wish to find

You cut down my brothers
You burnt all my comrades
Now they are all gone
Our ancient wrath is awakened

Come, we march on Isengard
We tear that blackened city down
Rend the stone walls asunder
Shake the towers ground

We are the Ents
Ancient and almighty
Feel our passionate strength
Fear our driven wrath
