The gardener from Hobbiton

by Dec 7, 2003Poetry

I dreamt of stars, and flowers,
I wished to hear the ocean roar,
I longed for sun and moon,
But what I found was war.

I searched for hope and for secrets,
To watch the fair elves dance,
In forest fen hid, nestled,
To watch them lain entranc’d.

A trincket my friend did carry then,
Such a simple, golden thing,
And fate my plight,
But through all hardships I’ll triumph,
And through the darkness I’ll fight.
