The Doom of Us – Frodo and Sam

by Mar 1, 2002Poetry

Frodo bearing the burden with Samwise.
Mordor is where we must go,
To the fires of Mount Doom,
We must destroy this ring,
Even in the gloom.

No body has the strength,
But you and me,
To bear this awful burden,
This others do not see.

They see small people,
That will bring them their fate,
To the death of many,
That is what we hate.

For we are small,
But it doesn’t change much,
For we are as strong as Men,
As tall as Dwarfs and such.

We may die,
But not so soon,
For we must do something,
Which will bring us to our doom.
