The darkness – Balrog

by Jun 3, 2003Poetry

Serets slain, yet drkness did yield
As thee were loosened upon ashen world,
And the fires within thee woke terror anew,
And the flames within ye did live.

Perils harken, and thy sword doth wield
Above the deeds of hell
And the mighty fall before thee, and none could shield
The fires of the fires of the earth.

The brave do fear thee, now as they did then,
And thy rumour is dred on the land
And fallen before thee have elf, dwarf and men,
And few have seen thee cast down.

Hope ye quenched, with one mighty blow,
And the fear of thy terror doth rise
And darkness was then, and now is this foe,
And the shadows of thee hold fire.
