Silly Bilbo Limericks – A few limericks for Bilbo

by Mar 23, 2005Poetry

Bilbo Baggins, hobbit of the Shire
Disliked all things strange and dire
And yet he went
With the dwarves’ advent,
To find gold, rings, and dragon fire.

He likes half of you half of today,
Half as much as you deserve, or may,
Three-quarters, you say,
Is a much better way,
But Bilbo likes half; it’s his birthday.

Bilbo is a very strange guy,
Of all his light bulbs he is shy,
And yet with his gold,
He can be plenty bold,
‘Cause with money good will he can buy.
