Saruman’s mind

by Jun 5, 2003Poetry

How did it corrupt thee,
As to thee make fell
And abuse thy trust so mighty
To rule an ashen hell.

Immortal friend, as often told
And now thy heart hath failed,
And to the drive of evil sold,
Thy selfless crime hath failed.

And in what arms do thee now die,
Istari Maiar’s death hath spoken,
And as a begger thee lie,
And all thy good forgotten is,
For evil thoughts were woken.
