Poem of Samwise – A Poem

by Oct 14, 2002Poetry

The only one who had the ring
With the power to cast it aside,
He, without language knew to sing
The Elven words so wise.

Through rivers deep the hobbit went,
On mountains steep he passed.
The ring of power he was lent,
He gave it up quite fast.

When, after he has finished
His part of the perilous quest,
He partially diminished
The evil that was cast.

Some earth to him was given
By the Queen of Elves.
A seed in that earth was driven
By hobbit folk themselves.
