Of Luthien and Beren – A Poem

by Mar 22, 2003Poetry

What light was caught upon the starlit hue
That came alight within you
When thy foot fell upon the earth
When thy love met mortal birth.

Who was he to hear thy silent song
To see thee dance, as thee belong
In the lands of immortal kin
But this man thy heart did win.

And what troubles did thy love provide
When thy love he lay and died
And then thy song the valor herd
And they were sadend by that word.

And then in joy thoes lovers met
Intertwined with stars and crystals set
At the heart of love’s sweet hue,
For sweet maid, he does love you.
