Of Love and Consequences

by Jun 24, 2006Poetry

Although my fate
Seems ill at hand
A truth I sit and ponder
No destiny Iā€™d rather choose
Then one with my true lover

And as time slowly slips us by
There shall not be a moment
Filled with love of life and of hope
Till last breath begins lament

And with that final moment true
Our life and love will pass
Together as we ride the wind
Our fate comes true at last
