Nine Bells – A Song

by Jul 23, 2002Poetry

Nine bells for Nine Riders

One for each fell king.
Nine Bells for the dead walking.

Fallen to greed and lust,
They walk the earth amid the dust.

One bell for Ammon
Another for the Unnamed.
One for grief,
another for the Shamed.

They sold their souls for power.
Their darkened hearts grew bitter and sour.

(DONG)
Darkness enshrouds them.
(DONG)
The dark apple of their Lord’s eye.
(DONG)
Not man nor ghost; demons of filth and carrion
(DONG)
Let your heart wither in fear and dispare.
(DONG)
Look not upon their empty faces.
(DONG)
Breathe not their Breath.
(DONG)
Mourn
(DONG)
Mourn
(DONG)
The Ring Bearer is doomed.
