Neverending Road

by May 30, 2005Poetry

Over wicked mountains roam,
Through valleys filled with stone,
Where clouds veil the sky,
And no light pierces night,

Over hope and crushed dreams,
Over gently flowing streams,
Through days filled with nights,
Past soft glowing lights,

Through woods of shadowed trees,
Through forests of falling leaves,
Past the roots of the mountains tall,
Past the cliff of the waterfall,

Through cities dark and gray,
Where all hope fades away,
Past hearts once filled with love,
Past light shining from above,

Now comes joys fallen wish,
Ever winding past a glimpse,
Of the things that bear their loads,
Down this never ending road
