Narsil / Anudril – A sword of kings

by Aug 29, 2003Poetry

A broken sword,
Shrapnel of war,
Reforged for a King,
Fearfull of blood
That through the generations
Has stained a conscience,
Stayed a hand,
Sweapt a mind,
Kept a love,
Built a nation,
Recrowned peace,
Trusted honour and virtue
To the name of its founder,
Elendil of Westerness.

So this sword
By the side of our King
Is more then a blade reforged,
A virtue of truth,
A keeper of trust,
An emblem of faith.
