Mithrandir – … … …

Mithrandir, Mithrandir O Pilgrim Grey
Why dost thou have fear in thy eyes?
Swiftly on horse you traveled night and day
to arrive at our gates at morn sunrise
In thy eyes I see a flame, kindling
One which I have long past beheld
Weary grow our soldiers, hope dwindling
From the rumors of Nazgul on beasts felled
The onset of war hath silenced all
No mouth utters tidings of gladness
Lest we gain hope, Minas Tirith will fall
And Middle-earth cast in eternal darkness
But you, face shining in rays of light
Shall keep the darkling shadows at bay
Together with you we shall stand and fight
Victory will arise and all shall say:
Mithrandir, Mithrandir O Pilgrim Grey
More magical are you than staff alone
Thy words are a beacon of hope, do stay
Until the ends of time, this world begone
