Alas, a wonderful man
with eyes like the sea at dusk
I love him so, but tis fatal to know
and we love in secret, in shadow.

He shall inherit middle-earth
the winds obey his command
as I gaze at the stars from behind love’s bars
I only wish him mine.

Someday I will wed him,
for I have the farsightedness of the Eldar,
and I see it now, I am lying beside him,
watching the sea under the sky.
