Manwe – King of Winds – Second of 15 poems of the Valar

by May 2, 2004Poetry

King of Winds,
Melkor’s bretheren,
Lord of the West,
Even your brother knows,
You know best.

Taniquetil,
The halls of your home,
Highest of the mountains,
With the winds of Arda under your command,
Come help us with your saving plan.

Blessed One,
Sulimo, you say,
Come,
Lead us in your ways.

Greatest of the Valar,
Spouse of Varda,
Queen of the stars,
Let us escape,
From Melkor’s pit of tar.
