Maiden Fair

by Mar 5, 2004Poetry

Maiden fair, angel of the heavens!
Hear my plea! Return to me
Let my heart take up it’s cry
And hold your queenly head high
Do not despair in dark of night
For always I am by your side
To share in your sorrows, your tears
To hold your joys, and fight your fears

Maiden fair, angel of the heavens!
Do not forget! I do regret
That you were taken so savagely
You’ve left me so helpless
In the dark of night
And yet so long as you are there
I shall not fear, my heart does not waver
My longing too strong for immortality
Let me find you in the shadows
Bring my soul peace maiden fair!
