*This sonnet is written in Shaksperian iambic pentameter*

Dancing in the early morning hours
An elf maid moved through a dark, tranquil wood
Flowing through the spring’s beautiful flowers
She danced more smoothly than a mortal could
Her hair flew about her, as dark as night
She danced and sang and laughed til dawn had come
The grace she withheld in her eyes shone bright
She moved to the beat of a silent drum
A mortal warrior came through the trees
A beautiful maiden had caught his eye
When he saw her dance, he fell to his knees
Unknown to her, her doom was drawing nigh
He called, "Tinuviel!" to make her stay
She fled, but could not keep her love at bay
