Love and dreams

by Jul 5, 2003Poetry

Love was my dream, so long ago,
And for death it hath now gone,
And the kiss of mortal bitterness
Hath killed my star that briht once shone,
And thiss, for all my folly,
Was my dream and my one hope,
Yet now hath passed my winter,
And my mortal life shall soon elope,
And all throug my long years,
This love was my ong goal,
But mortal death, and tragic ends,
And fate my dreams hath stole.
