Lost Numenor – Poem by Lalatiel

by Mar 17, 2002Poetry

The sound of the waves upon the shore
Reminds me of drownèd Númenor.
The height of your power, washed away;
And in your place, the rolling waves
How great would your kings have become?
If to evil they did not succumb
Numenor, Elenna, Akallabeth
Swept away by the Valar’s breath.
