Land of Lorien – The Enchanted Wood

by Mar 26, 2002Poetry

Oh Lorien, Land of the beautiful the exquisite
The mallorn trees protecting the domain
The elanor in full bloom
Lorien

Ah the Land of Lorien
The place in which fair folk dwell
Overseen by the Lord Celeborn with the Lady Galadriel
They rule just and fair

Oh Galadriel the Enchantress of the Wood
She glows with a radiant light
As she passes me in the gloom
She gently caresses my cheek with her ethereal hand
Like the fairest wind in Middle Earth

Bare-foot and clad in fine silks
With poise she strides on the emerald grass
Her feet carelessly fall on the trodden ground
Her flaxen hair falls evenly at her back, as the light wind blows small wisps behind her

And Celeborn, he stands proud and soaring
He is clothed in cape and boot
He runs lightly to the border of his lands
Guarding against the shadow of the East

Leading an army of elves pale and strapping
Their quivers are emptied at his command
He leads them, heartlessly defending his land
From the vice of Sauron and his cohorts

Oh Lorien, Land of the beautiful the exquisite
The mallorn trees protecting the domain
The elanor in full bloom
My heart weeps to see such a gorgeous thing to pass from the land of my existence
