Just a cage – Eowyn

by Jan 23, 2004Poetry

However hard I try
I cannot escape.
Hoever long I wish
I cannot overcome.
However hard I look
I see nothing else.

Just a cage.

But iron bars would not be so cruel,
Nor would they quench my hope,
With iron bars I could imagine
That it was

Just a cage.

But I am trapped within a fear,
A hope? A doubt? A thought?

And then, one day I’ll not quiestion,
And forget what once I sought.
