In Darkness I Fell – Sam’s thoughts upon the foot of Mount Doom

by Dec 27, 2003Poetry

In Darkness I Fell,
All alone and afraid,
To journey’s end I went,
Only to die in despair.

Now I stand here,
at the foot of Mt.Doom,
With my master, and dear friend
Mr. Frodo, the Ring Bearer.

And here, I lie,
Next to my master,
Darkness and despair have taken me,
This is the end.
