Hobbits – tra la la lala

Onward, upward
The battle begins
Blood is shed
Tears mix in
But back in the Shire
Life isn’t nearly so grim.

Sing . . .
Tra la la lala
To the spring time coming
Sing
Sta la la lala
As the sun comes out

The happy people
The joyful people
The ecstatic people
Of Middle-earth.

Sing . . .
Tra la la lala
To another birthday
Sing
Na lala lala
At the presents given.

Don’t you fret
And don’t you frown
Happiness
Has come to town

So why not rejoice?
The war’s far away?
Wait . . . what’s that?

Sing . . .
No, nono, nono
For they’re coming for you
Sing
Helpo po popo

You can’t get away
If you’re happy folk
Put away your smiles
And bring out the poking
Swords.

Sing
Tra la la la la
It’s all over now
Sing
Sra la la lala
How we all forget.

Bad things come,
But so do good,
We’ll beat some
And forget the rest.

Sing . . .
Tra la la lala
To the spring time coming
Sing
Sta la la lala
As the sun comes out

We don’t know
What is not
Happiness.
