Hobbits of Mordor

by Jan 28, 2005Poetry

The dark ages were coming
The hobbits in the shire were affected
The ones that were too scared
Joined the armies of Mordor
Their love for the Earth gone
No more smoking, drinking or laughter
All their joy is gone
But they can’t leave to be free
They don’t want to be here
But they have no choice
Their decision is made
Now they must live with it
They wish they had chosen differently
For now they’re an unmentioned shadow
Growing in the East
I wish they’d chosen diferently.
