Hidden Power

Olorin he was in the forgotten west
Before being placed upon a fateful quest
Born upon waves across the sea
A mere mortal man he appeared to be

Whence he came no man could say
A bent old man under a mantle of gray
Leaning upon a wooden staff
Quick to anger quick to laugh

Wise council he gave should you give heed
A friend among friends in dire need
Fire within him did brightly burn
Though his true power you could not discern

He rides alone down dark roads
Into the place where evil abodes
Against the Dark Lord the path is straight
On his quest wrought by fate
