Heavy Heart Today – Thought of Aragorn

by Feb 11, 2004Poetry

Heavy in my heart today,
worries like bricks,
on my shoulders there lay.
Cares and thoughts,
of the most dreadful sort,
fail to fly away,
continue to push.
Push through the shell,
the armor of my soul,
that I wear each day,
to shield the shadow.
Penetrating deep,
through the layer of hope,
eating through coats,
of bravery I hold.
How can I rid my heart
of this disease,
How do I go back,
and find courage to lead?
