Haldir’s Death

by Jan 26, 2006Poetry

Eternal Sleep
Will come when I close my eyes
My sight is blurring quickly now
But I still hear painful cries

Slashing Blades
Are pulled from a fighter’s sheath
Fear is something we know not
We fight ever on to death

Eternal Sleep
Is coming as I close my eyes
Sleep, come quench my thirst for you
Lead me to the land where shadow lies

Golden Trees
That I will never see again
Neither will I see the dawn
Or feel falling drops of rain

Eternal Sleep
Has come, and I have closed my eyes
Keep me in your memory
For now, a great warrior dies
