Frodo’s Question – A Poem

by Mar 5, 2003Poetry

Why did I do what I did,
Or was it meant to be,
For me to take this evil thing
Further than I can see.
Past the gate and past the tower
To were the lave flows,
Past the master of this thing
That haunts me in my dreams.
Up the mountain flaming hot
That still can not see,
Into the heart of that feared place
Is where I’m meant to be.
Why did I do what I did,
Why did it have to be,
That the evil ring this vial thing would
come only to me.
