Frodo – These are the thoughts of Frodo after his destruction of the ring and then after he has returned to the Shire

by Sep 10, 2004Poetry

I did it, my burden is lifted
My heart is light, but now empty
So long I carried it
An eternity in my eyes

I am weak, I can barely move
My dear Sam, he is still beside me
After all this
My poor Sam, I don’t think we shall survive

***********************************************

How do you do it?
How can I continue my life in the Shire?
After such a journey
How can I mend the emptiness in my heart?
I can’t, I cannot continue
