For the Love of a Mortal

by May 3, 2004Poetry

Immortality, doth that wich one so sweet
Becometh then so bitter to me?
Adieu, my love, thy life hath faded
As my life still remains.
Too short the time together spent:
To you a lifetime, to me…

What triumph shall death forsake for love?
Your memory, begottewn, true, shall live
With me, forever.
And I immortal, shall so remain, My Love.
