Evenstar, your hope is lost, And passed your mortal day, Gone the love that your life cost, Lost from mortal sway.

by Aug 4, 2003Poetry

Evenstar, thy light doth wan,
Thy youth, it doth now fade,
And why so sad, to walk alone,
Under elven shade.

The trees do whisper, as they sway,
In woven spell of old,
The river sings, through night and day,
It’s story never told.

Thy eyes do weep, thoes salten tears
Shimmer on thy cheek,
And gone are many happy years,
Memories to thee speak.

Elven queen, to travel forth
To the lands thee knew, one life,
Why are thee here? To travel noth
Of thy king, thee art his wife.

Thy father warned thee long ago,
Yet thee still wed a mortal one,
Luthien chose too, ’twas her woe,
And now your hope is gone.

Undomiel, thy star doth wan,
Thy youth, it doth now fade,
And why so sad, to walk alone,
Under elven shade.
