Elven footsteps in thy dreams

by Aug 24, 2003Poetry

Ever the dream in the shallow keeps,
The midnight world
Where daylight sleeps,
Ever the waking this thought of thine,
Rember the stars
Rember the time.

Ever the hope in the blue hue of night,
The dead of day,
The stars of light,
Ever the fabric of dreamers sweet wove,
Elven light now,
Hid elven grove.

Ever the love that I ever met,
Dreams of the old
Elven Lord met,
For though they pass’d,
Left Middle-earth
They walk through our dreams;
Blessed brought is their mirth.
