elven enchantment

by Mar 9, 2004Poetry

I lament of things that seem so vague,
of things that cannot be;
I speak of dreams, of goals, of wants,
of truths that few others see.
Beauty,faith, hope, love,
and spirit, which I hold so dear;
the lore of the elves, they sing not of themselves,
I hold these in my heart here.
They shine like the stars,
can see much from afar,
and immortality do bear;
golden hair like the wind,
the fair speech of their kin,
oh, to be one of them there.
