Despite the Changes

by Feb 6, 2004Poetry

I see her face
It is changed
From the first time
I saw her

I no longer see
The elvish glint in her eyes

And the common state of men
Rested upon her
She is weak from sickness
That she has never had before

But she is still the one I love
Despite the changes
From immortal to mortal

A kiss I give her
And we go hand in hand to
Our wedding
